FAQs

How long will my razor last?

Ohh razors are made to last for years. Blades need frequent replacing, but the razor itself is designed with sturdy zinc and brass alloy and will stand the test of time. If you tend to be as clumsy as me, you may get some chipping to the electroplating. So best to store where razor won’t slip or drop, and is also kept dry until use.

How can I safely store my razor?

We recommend storing in a bathroom cabinet, bench or the like between uses. Of course keep in mind if you have inquisitive little fingers around a less conspicuous home may be needed. But do not to store in the shower, for the life of the blade.

How do I know when my blades need changing?

The blade will first take a firmer stroke to work, it may even start dragging on skin. If you get to this stage it’s already time to change the blade. The amount of uses will depend on the size of the area being shaved and the coarseness of your hair. So if it’s taking more than a couple of short strokes to get super smooth, save yourself and carefully switch the blade out for a fresh one.

What cream is best to shave with?

Any natural cream, oil, or soap of your choice. The razor will easily glide across the skin. Just make sure you rinse it sufficiently based on the product you use.

Where can I get more information on disposing of the blades?

We have some basics for disposing of double-edge blades HERE.

Will my razor rust if left in the shower?

No, but it is definitely not recommended for the quality of the blade.

Can I shave sensitive and tricky areas safely with this razor?

With some practise, you can shave all the places you once shaved with your regular disposable razor. During summer we like to keep the area within the bikini line neat as a personal preference and have adapted to use a very gentle hand, whilst covering any extra sensitive or exposed areas with the other hand whilst shaving. It is important to go slow and to get the angle of the razor just right, so to start with less is more, and you can tilt more when you are safely accustomed to do so. From experience we know after some gentle practise that it can be done effectively, you just need to persevere and find out a position that is best to get any hard to reach places.
